A2Z Refrigeration & Air Conditioning is a locally owned and growing business servicing the Whitsunday region. We provide high-quality residential and commercial air conditioning and refrigeration installation, maintenance and repair services.
We are looking for an experienced Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic to join our supportive team in a full-time position.
About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for installing, commissioning, servicing, maintaining and repairing residential and commercial air conditioning and refrigeration systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Read drawings and specifications and determine installation requirements;
- Install refrigeration pipework, mounting brackets and system components;
- Install, commission, service, maintain and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems;
- Conduct pressure and leak testing, evacuation and refrigerant charging within the scope of the licences held;
- Diagnose faults and repair or replace defective components;
- Complete preventative maintenance, warranty work and service reports; and
- Ensure all work complies with applicable safety requirements, Australian Standards and licence conditions.
What We're Looking For
- A relevant trade qualification in air conditioning and refrigeration, such as an AQF Certificate III or an equivalent overseas trade qualification;
- Relevant experience installing, servicing and repairing air conditioning and refrigeration systems;
- A current Australian Refrigerant Handling Licence, or evidence that you are progressing through a recognised Australian skills-recognition or licensing pathway;
- A current driver licence valid in Queensland;
- A current White Card, or the ability to obtain one;
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills; and
- Good communication, customer service and teamwork skills.
