About the client
Our client is an established Australian construction business with a strong reputation for delivering complex projects across a diverse portfolio. With a collaborative, down-to-earth culture, the organisation is focused on finding better ways of working and using technology to create practical improvements across its business.
About the opportunity
We’re seeking a hands-on AI & Automation Specialist to turn ideas into practical, production-ready solutions across the business. This newly created role will work across different functions to identify where AI, automation and data can make a genuine difference - assessing opportunities, developing prototypes and taking the right solutions into production. Working predominantly within the Microsoft ecosystem, you’ll build across Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI, Fabric, Dataverse and M365, while exploring practical AI use cases through Copilot and Copilot Studio.
This is a genuine greenfield opportunity to become the internal SME across AI & Automation, helping shape how the business adopts these technologies while remaining hands-on and actually building the solutions.
About You
- Strong hands-on experience designing and delivering solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Experience across the broader Microsoft ecosystem including Power BI, SharePoint, Teams, Dataverse and Microsoft 365.
- Practical exposure to enterprise AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio or comparable platforms.
- Experience building Power BI dashboards, data models and reporting solutions using Power Query and DAX.
- Exposure to Microsoft Fabric or comparable cloud data platforms, including data ingestion, transformation and pipelines.
- A pragmatic understanding of data governance, cybersecurity, privacy and responsible AI.
What’s on offer
- A newly created role with the opportunity to shape how AI & Automation is practically adopted across the organisation.
- Genuine greenfield scope within a business still early in its AI, automation and data journey.
- Broad exposure across AI, Power Platform, automation, data and analytics rather than being confined to one technology.
- An established, collaborative organisation with executive support
