This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer or technically minded sales professional who enjoys combining engineering knowledge with customer engagement and business development. Working from the Brisbane office, you will develop relationships with existing customers while identifying new business opportunities across the industrial wholesale supply, industrial manufacturing, grain handling and mining sectors. You will work closely with key stakeholders, engineers, maintenance managers, site supervisors, OEMs and end users, providing technical advice and developing practical solutions involving electrical monitoring, sensors, automation and safety systems for bulk materials handling equipment. This is a customer-facing technical sales role where you will have the opportunity to apply your electrical knowledge, understand customer challenges and recommend solutions that improve equipment reliability, safety and operational performance. Regular regional and interstate travel will be required to support customers and develop new business opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with industrial wholesale supply networks and re-sellers, electrical engineers, maintenance managers, site supervisors, procurement teams and key decision-makers.
- Provide technical sales support and advice on electrical monitoring equipment, sensors, safety systems and electronic components.
- Identify opportunities to introduce 4B's electrical and monitoring solutions into existing and new customer applications.
- Work with customers to understand electrical, operational and equipment-related challenges and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
- Support OEMs, distributors, resellers and end users with product selection, system applications, troubleshooting and technical enquiries.
- Develop new business opportunities while managing and growing established customer accounts.
- Prepare technical quotations, proposals and cost estimates.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Australian and international engineering and sales teams.
- Represent 4B Australia at industry exhibitions, trade events and customer presentations.
- Undertake regular regional and interstate travel to visit customers, assess applications and identify opportunities for improvement.
About you
- A qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, sensors, instrumentation, monitoring equipment or automation.
- Experience working with industrial electrical equipment, control systems, machinery or manufacturing processes.
- The ability to interpret technical requirements and communicate engineering concepts clearly to customers.
- An interest in technical sales, business development and account management.
- Strong communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work autonomously, manage priorities and take ownership of customer relationships.
- A willingness to travel regionally and interstate as required.
- Company motor vehicle or fully maintained company vehicle (FMCV).
