W Sydney located at 31 Wheat Road is now casting for a Purchasing Officer. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this integral role will support the Purchasing & Receiving function in the hotel procurement of goods and services.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Identify potential suppliers and research their offers;
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers;
- Create purchase orders on Birchstreet and ensure they are approved;
- Track orders by monitoring delivery status and ensure there are no delays;
- Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and reorder supplies as needed;
- Review and approve invoices for payment;
- Resolve any issues that may arise with suppliers or deliveries;
- Analyze market trends and make recommendations for cost savings to meet financial objectives;
- Collaborate with other departments to identify purchasing & receiving needs;
- Maintain records and keep records of all orders, payments, and received stock.
