Role Overview: As a Banquets Chef de Partie, you will lead by example, overseeing a specific section of the kitchen while ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation and consistency. From crafting dishes that delight our guests to mentoring junior team members, you’ll play a key role in creating memorable dining experiences across our venues. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise with proven experience in events kitchens.
- Supervise and coordinate activities within your section during busy periods and support team efforts ensuring smooth operations.
- Prepare and present high-quality dishes within your designated section.
- Ensure all food preparation and storage meets health, safety and hygiene standards.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and other team members to ensure kitchen efficiency.
- Collaborate with the other F&B outlets to ensure efficiency.
- Innovate and contribute ideas for menu development and improvement.
- Anticipate and address guest needs, offering personalized recommendations and maintain a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Uphold brand values and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality service.
About You:
- Commercial Cookery Trade Certificate and minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Chef de Partie role in a 5-star Luxury Lifestyle Hotel environment.
- Must have active Australian working rights.
- Have full availability for rotating schedule.
- The confidence to promote ideas and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Proven track record of training and development of Commis Chefs & Apprentices.
- Full knowledge of HACCP and Workplace Health & Safety.
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Financial acumen with Food Costs and Payroll Costs.
- Experience with stock control and ordering.
