We are on the lookout for energetic Commis Chefs to join our team. You will work alongside a passionate kitchen brigade to deliver exceptional guest service and experiences.
Our restaurant is a hatted venue, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner within a nature inspired environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook and present high-quality dishes in accordance with recipes, presentation and hotel standards.
- Assist senior chefs with daily mise en place and service preparation.
- Ensure all food is prepared and served in a timely manner during busy service periods.
- Uphold the hotel's sustainability initiatives by reducing food waste and using ingredients responsibly.
- Follow all hygiene, HACCAP and workplace health and safety standards
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, willingness to learn and a passion for culinary excellence.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen
- Passion for food, creativity and continuous learning
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Certificate III in commercial cookery preferred.
