Flinders University is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic leader as its next Vice-President and Executive Dean, College of Medicine and Public Health. This is a significant opportunity to lead one of the University's largest Colleges, building on a strong record of achievement in education and research while shaping its next phase of growth and development.

Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor and serving as a member of the University's Senior Executive Team, the Vice-President and Executive Dean will provide strategic and academic leadership across the College, advancing research excellence, educational quality and external engagement. A particular priority will be to build on the College's strong research performance, developing academic capability, strengthening partnerships and driving further growth in research activity and impact.

The College has a distinctive national profile, supported by significant investment in health and medical research infrastructure, close partnerships with health services and an extensive medical education footprint across regional and remote Australia, including the Northern Territory. Further opportunities arise through the development of the Flinders HealthCARE Centre and its ambitions for interdisciplinary health education. The successful candidate will play a leading role in realising these opportunities, fostering collaboration across the University and contributing to the delivery of Agenda 2035: Impact. With Purpose.

You will be a distinguished academic and research leader with a PhD or equivalent qualification, an outstanding record of research achievement and demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing academic environments. You will bring the credibility to engage with the medical and research communities, alongside the strategic, financial and organisational leadership capabilities required to lead a large and complex College.

Ambitious, collaborative and collegial, you will have a demonstrated ability to develop others, build productive relationships with clinical, government and research partners, and work effectively across disciplinary boundaries. Importantly, you will bring an institution-wide perspective, with the capacity to contribute to Flinders' broader ambitions while inspiring the College to achieve even greater success.

Flinders University is entering an exciting period of growth and investment, guided by its Agenda 2035 ambition to change 10 million lives for the better.
